Missed my post last night...

We had company when I got home. Nina had stopped by and was actually cleaning the kitchen floor when I got home, and she'd already run the cleaner over the carpets... she's such a great girl... I can't tell you what a nice surprise *that* was!!

So, I made us all some pasta with sauce and italian sausage, with some hot fresh bread for dinner.

After dinner we watched "Alexander"... decent movie... too long (close to 3 hours), too bloody, and I could have gone the rest of my life without hearing Angelina Jolie 'sing', or seeing Colin Farrell becon a boy to his bed... but, it was a decent movie, just not as good as 'Troy' or 'Gladiator'.

I've got another post in the works, that hopefully I'll finish tonight :)

Don't ya hate it when 'real life' interferes with blogging? :)

Heehee. Since "real life" consists of my job which is my sole source of income and my daughter, nope, not so much! But I do know what you mean. Some days 2,3,4 days go by and it's like "I HAVEN'T POSTED SINCE WHEN?"

They portrayed Alexander as having relations with boys and men? I'm surprised! They cut that aspect of ancient Greek life out of "Troy". (Achilles' "cousin" was actually his lover)

Bill,

Drats! Anything but real life, right? Look forward to your post. It's funny, I made the same meal you talked about for my people on Friday. Have a good one.

Nic - Thanks, I know what you mean... but just one or two days in a row I'd like to get done what I set out to do!

Trevor - It wasn't incredibly overt, well except for one or two scenes, but it was definitely there. I know it's all though the Greek history and mythology... but usually it's sort 'skipped' in the hollywood depictions.

Firehawk - Yes! *anything* but!! It's always a 'hit' dinner, and then everyone complains they ate too much 'eh?

Darn real life! I've been having a batch of it myself lately... ;)

I thought Alexander was pretty bad, despite a reasonably promising opening by Anthony Hopkins.

Glad you guys all seem to be doing ok now! :D

Spirit - I hope your Mrs is healing up as well as mine is! Hopkins did open, and close the film well, the rest, well it was just long!

MON - Did 'litter box' detail myself tonight... bathrooms are tomorrow :) I'm going to post a little 'code' talk post tonight, just so I feel like I've been 'active'.. heh-heh

Thanks again everyone for the well wishes, Maryan is indeed healing up well, slowly, but steady.

Thanks for the review. The pasta sounds yummy. And I must finish my racing series but have been in a terrible way this week.

Dinner sounds great ~ I thought the same thing about "Alexander."
Nina sounds like a gem of a friend.

Jen - You're welcome! I'm looking forward to your racing series!

Nanina - Thanks.. and Alexander was a bit of a let down... but not total... and Nina... well, you're right she sure is!

Did you watch the "director's cut" version? I had just watched it two weeks ago. A long movie that kind of dragged on.

dahlia - You know, I don't know which 'cut' it was... but it was nearly 3 hours long!
